Each Sunday, I’ll use Playdates and Prosecco to record our dinner plans for the week, including anything made during Sunday prep. I’ll link any relevant recipes and include some of my favorite products/staples in case you want to use ’em!
Happy Sunday! Y’all, I am STOKED about this week’s plans! I’ve got four brand new dinner recipes AND I prepped with two new recipes today. Yup… I’m a risk-taker, y’all. And if slow-cooker recipes are your jam, stay tuned, because I’m using two this week! It’s either going be amazing or we might end up eating pizza for a week… which kind of also sounds amazing. #pizzaislife
Here’s what we’re working with this week:
Beer Bread: I’ve been wanting to make a beer bread recipe because usually the prep is super fast and ain’t nobody got time waiting. I read a few recipes and adapted from there, but I’ll say this: this one’s a winner! I used Angry Orchard cider and raw honey, which gave it the perfect blend of sweet and savory. I’ve seen this recipe linked everywhere, so it’s also where I started. YUMMMM!
Oatmeal Carrot Cake Breakfast Cookies: I was slightly apprehensive as I prepped these ones. The raw carrot smell was quite overwhelming, but baking them totally mellowed the flavor. I didn’t have nutmeg or cloves, so I used cinnamon, ginger, and allspice. I also felt like the “batter” needed a little more sweetness, so I added a bit of raw honey. She Likes Food nailed it with these! I’ve got this page bookmarked to refer back to, as she has a ton of make-ahead oat recipes on there.
This week we’re having:
- Slow-cooker chicken chili verde over cauliflower rice
- Chipotle pulled pork lettuce wraps with avocado aioli
- (leftover from the night before) Pulled pork nachos with side salad
- Grilled California avocado chicken with edamame noodles
I know that one night we’ll eat leftovers, and one night we’ll eat out, so that’s it! I don’t ever stick to certain days, I just go by what we feel like eating that day and how much time each meal takes to prepare since our schedules are so busy. I’ve linked recipes I plan to follow or at least use as a guide, so feel free to steal ’em!
